Trying a 3 day Juice cleanse

As I am trying to be healthier both in mind and body thought what better way to jump-start this than a good old fashioned juice cleanse, am I right? I'm right. I used to make green juices and homemade orange juice all the time but life gets busy and you run out of time. The juices I've previously made taste pretty good to me but I've never actually followed a recipe, it's always just been if I have carrots put 'em in or spinach is going bad soon better juice that up. This time I wanted to follow a real juice detox recipe and I found one on Pinterest similar to what I used to make so I figured to would taste okay.

The recipe that I'm trying calls for;
2 Green apples (I bought Granny Smith)
1 Cucumber
4 celery stalks
8 Kale leaves (with the stalks)
1 lemon
a small piece of ginger (like an inch or so)

Day 1
I woke up around 7am and almost forgot about my juice plans, so I reached for the coffee pot before I thought better of it. I made my breakfast juice around 8am and when it was ready I convinced my mom to try it with me. We both puckered over how citrusy it was but after a few sips, it seemed to calm down and was bearable. The recipe said it made about 16oz but I definitely got more than that. I had a full glass and a half, plus the bit that my mom had and I still had another full glass that I put in the fridge for later. I'm not sure if maybe I was supposed to drink all of that at one time but I was full and didn't want anymore.
It's about 11am and all I want right now is cheese, I don't think this is because of just having juice I just really like cheese and crave it 99% of the time. I figured that before I grabbed the full block of cheddar cheese and just started to naw on it that now was probably a good time for my lunch juice.
It's 3pm now ad I have a KILLER headache, like seriously guys my head is pounding. I'm not one to take medication so I'm just going to lay down for a bit. Also, I just found out that you can't have green tea on a juice cleanse... So I'm kinda bummed about that because I have like at least two cups a day.
Alright, so I fell asleep and slept for way too long, it is now 9:30pm and I slept through my dinner time. My family is asleep and my juicer is pretty fricken loud so I'm not sure what to do here.
Okay guys, so this might be cheating because I didn't make the juice myself but I went to Safeway and bought two of those Naked juices. They seem like they have good ingredients. They taste really good anyway, I got the 'Green Machine' which was amazing, and then a berry fusion or something and it tastes like strawberry yogurt to me. I'm not sure why because it doesn't have any dairy in it. It wasn't the best juice in the world

Day 2
Alright, day 2 here we come! I slept in today, not sure how considering I slept most of yesterday but whatever. It's 10am, I feel refreshed and my head doesn't hurt anymore so that's good. I think it might have been a lack of caffeine kinda thing, I don't usually drink that much coffee but I have been lately.     I made my juice pretty much as soon as got up. This recipe is starting to grow on me and I think it tastes pretty good actually. However, I wish I looked up more than one recipe before buying all of the ingredients for the entire juice cleanse based on one single recipe... A different flavor would be nice that's all I'm saying.
So lunchtime has rolled around, it's like 3pm but close enough right? Anyway, I made another juice it's the same recipe but it tastes more citrusy than before. I don't mind things that are sour I eat lemons like candy, but this juice was REALLY fricken sour guys!
Dinner time, last juice of day two! Woohoo! I'm looking up other juice recipes for tomorrow to mix it up a bit and I found one with pineapple that I think I'll try for breakfast! My dinner juice isn't as sour as the lunch one thank god because that was rough, maybe it was just the lemon I used? I don't know. I didn't have a headache today like I did yesterday and I felt more energized. I did take a nap today though, just a small one. I ran of things to do and since we're all stuck in this quarantine I figured why the heck not. What a life!
I did do some yoga today too, I'm nervous to do any intense workout or running while in doing this because I'm still figuring out how my body is handling it.
Side note, I bought this lavender chamomile tea because it says I can have herbal tea and it's not great. I just had to mention that.

Day 3
Good morning it's 9am here on this nasty-ass rainy Washington day.  I researched different recipes and tried to find some that I already had the ingredients for and my friend Alex sent me one. SO to Alex.
It calls for:
1/2 a bunch of kale (so like 4 leaves and stalks)
1 Cucumber
1 1/2 cups of pineapple

This juice is soooooo fricken good! And it was a lot easier to make which is a plus. 10/10 stars, would highly recommend.
So I was out running my errands (Yes, I left my house with all the Corona crap going around, I needed dog food and other supplies) and I passed this smoothie/juice place. I'm on a juice cleanse... I'm definitely stopping there. It was Robeks, I don't know how big of a company that is or if it's just an American smoothie shop, I'm not researching it. They have mostly smoothies but I feel like that's cheating so I ordered one out of the four juices they had listed. The one I got is called 'Root to Stem'. it's got; kale, celery, spinach, carrot, beet, apple, and ginger. Not too shabby, a little bit heavy on the ginger but it was pretty fricken good. Ya girl got a large cuz she was hungry.

I made a to-go juice for dinner which I've read online isn't great you should drink it right away but I wasn't about to pack up my juicer and all the fruits and veggies and take them to my friend's house that's a little too extra for me.

The Day After
I was going to post this last night after I finished my last juice of this cleanse but thought maybe I should wait. So glad I did; I have updates! So as previously mentioned I fricken love cheese, like a lot, like more than any human being should love anything. I'm not much of a meat-eater, I don't touch beef, but cheese guys it just gets me. How I had the will power to not eat it is actually beyond me. So anyway my friend and I were making breakfast, my first chewable meal, we made breakfast burritos. There's bacon there's cheese, peppers, eggs, tortillas the works right. My friend being a sweetheart, cut me a piece of cheese and it was like he just handed me a piece of heaven I was overjoyed. I cried a little, not really but it was close. It was the most peace-filled moment of my life until I took a bite... It tasted like, well it didn't really taste like much. it was the most anti-climatic, unsatisfying moment I've ever experienced. I'm thoroughly disappointed. So then we go on to eat our breakfast burritos and they taste so different, we've been making them for months and they're always the same mouth-watering flavor-filled mouth explosions. Not this time. Just the tortilla itself tastes so weird, almost like I could taste all the ingredients in it. I don't know, it was weird.

Well, that's that, overall I really enjoyed this experience. I'd probably do it again but definitely mix it up with the juices a bit more and not drink that nasty tea. I hope you enjoyed this weird little adventure.
