Journal Challenge Day 25: What Does Your Ideal Day Look Like?

My ideal day would be spent primarily outside and there would be no technology used the entire day unless it was for taking pictures.
It would be spent camping, real camping though not in an RV that has this that and the next thing. I want us to be in tents. My family would be there, my man, and my closest friends. Everyone would get along in perfect harmony (This is obviously a hypothetical situation).
We would wake up with the sun, don't you love that? I love that, it's so much better than the loud ringing of an alarm. The birds would be chirping, we would be able to hear the water, I want to camp near either a river or lake or something. Maybe not the ocean. Everyone would wake up at different times. I would wake up first, to have a couple minutes to myself. Next would be my man, and we would boil some water for coffee over our crackling morning fire. After that everyone would slowly start to join us, starting with my Gramma I assume and ending with my younger brother. Who we would tease by saying something like "Look who decided to join us."
While everyone is taking the time to actually wake up and have their own cup of coffee, we all sit around the fire and chat about anything. Whether that be what we did the night before, or what we plan on doing that day or maybe something unrelated to the camping trip at all, who knows, just something fun and light. After that, we make something to eat, maybe some pancakes? With fruit on the side for sure. We'd make chocolate chip smiley face ones for the kids, I'll probably have one too because they're cute (the pancakes not the kids, just to clarify). When we finish breakfast, I think we should go swimming, Let's set the scene real quick. It's summer, maybe sometime in July, not a birthday trip though. I don't want us to be celebrating anything other than life. This day is going to be hot, not disgustingly hot but hot enough where you want to spend most of the day in the water.
We'll be in the water for a couple hours (in this hypothetical I will not get a 3rd-degree sunburn but I'll actually tan) There will be floaties that some the adults will be chillaxing, just basking in the sun. Others will be in the shallow water splashing around with the kids, my Gramma will be on the shore taking pictures or videos of us. I'd love for her to be in the water with us but I just don't see that happening. Around lunchtime we'll probably get out of the water. My stepdad and my Papa will cook up some burgers and we all chow down on those. A hike would be nice after that, it won't be a super long hike, maybe 45mins up. It's a hot day remember. There will be an incredible view of the lake and the forest, maybe you'll be able to catch just a glimpse of the city from there, but it's faint. We'll hike back down and by the time we get back everyone is probably hot and sweaty so well go cool off in the water. The kids will probably take a nap because I assume that they'll be tired.
For dinner, we will have spaghetti, which is not a camping food what-so-ever but again this is isn't a real thing and I want spaghetti for my dream day dinner. With garlic bread and caesar salad on the side, that sounds perfect.
Well have a fire started up again at this point that will keep us warm and fed for the rest of the night. My sister and I will go down to the dock and put our feet in the water. She and I will just talk and reminisce and have a moment where it's just the two of us, we don't have those anymore. Before it gets too late, my man will come and replace my sister, who will probably go back to check on her kids. The two of us will watch the sunset from the dock and it will be so cute and romantic, maybe he brings a blanket to wrap around us. It wouldn't be super cold but once the sun goes down a tiny chill hits. We struggle to see our way back to camp but we make eventually. The others will be gathered around the fire just chatting and laughing. Maybe have music playing in the background, I know I said no tech but this is an exception. There will be marshmallows to roast for smores, and probably some beers to drink.
Once the little ones call it a night, we'll go night swimming because that's way too fun. After that I imagine we will sit around the fire to dry off and warm up before bed. While we're sitting there we can play games like the cliche truth or dare, or would you rather. Maybe a drinking game or two? Maybe even a card game, like bullshit? I love card games. Then one at a time people will start to go to bed Ill probably be the last one because even though I'm dog tired I don't want the day to end. Eventually, I get to bed too.
Ugh, that sounds so perfect to me, I actually want this happen, I know it won't. Mostly because I know we'd never have spaghetti while camping. A girl can dream though.
